Sharon Malone, the founder and President of The Malone Group, joins us for an interview to talk about her extensive experience as a Consultant, Executive Coach, and HR Executive. 

Sharon talks about her background as an HR Executive and how it helped her on her path to   becoming an independent consultant and Executive Coach; emphasizing the importance of taking advantage of any training opportunity that comes your way in order to build your “tool kit” before striking out on your own.

Sharon explains how critical having a criteria for the people you want to coach is, along with making sure you and your clients are a good fit from the get-go and that they are fully onboard and committed to the coaching process before and during the duration of the engagement.

Lastly, Sharon shares what her biggest challenge is as a coach, how to overcome it and how to set boundaries with your clients. She also provides key advice to aspiring coaches on how to get started, as well as the 3 things they should think about before embarking on this journey.
